Brighthouse Financial, Inc., (“BHF”) is the ultimate parent company of Brighthouse Investment Advisers, the investment adviser to the Portfolios within Brighthouse Funds Trust I and Brighthouse Funds Trust II. Prior to August 4, 2017, BHF was a subsidiary of, and controlled by, MetLife, Inc. On that date, MetLife, Inc. distributed 80.8% of the common stock of BHF to MetLife, Inc.’s shareholders, and BHF became a separate, publicly-traded company.
